The trike is slowly "taking shape", but the welding is far more difficult than I could have imagined and it will take me some time before I have the cracks welded to a level that reduces my "trike breaking, crash and burn" anxiety when riding.

Hang in there with the welding Jon, you can only get better and even if it looks like a giant metallic bird left a deposit on the join a bit of grinding and rewelding can make the world of difference, as long as it is strong and the weld is continuous it will work. When the USA was building its new Virginia attack class submarines they discovered the welded areas were stronger than the steel plates that were being welded together.
